Snapshots in Time

Our Historic Treasures

The Written Word

So true that a picture is worth a thousand words.  The segment of our website offers both moving and still pictures from the City Archives Collection, capturing events, buildings and people across decades.

Presented here is a treasure trove of people, places and things, that thread through centuries of White Plains history.

The Archives is the repository for a vast collection of government documents, written records of many private individuals, clubs and associations, as well as books and pamphlets.  Showcased here are some of the Archive's more interesting and historically significant inhabitants.
